Individuals, businesses, and organizations can help support the Ambler Theater’s special film and event programming through our Underwriting Program.

What is underwriting?

Underwriting a film, event, or series helps to cover the costs that go along with presenting a special screening or event at the Ambler Theater. These costs can include film rights, rental fees, and shipping costs, as well as additional theater staffing requirements.

Why underwrite a film or special event?

Businesses and organizations can support films and events that connect with patrons or clients. Individuals can support screenings of their favorite movies. In both cases, participation in the Underwriting Program highlights support for the community’s nonprofit Ambler Theater.

What are the benefits of underwriting?

In addition to providing critical funding for the Ambler Theater, Underwriting partners receive the following:

• Your name and/or business/organization name + logo will appear on:
• The film/event listing on our website
• Social media listings and posts for the film/event
• Print listings of the film/event (if applicable)
• Special Underwriter slide onscreen before the film/event, which can also include a short message
• Opportunity to introduce the film/event in person
• Four tickets to the film/event

How much does it cost to underwrite a film/event?

Single-film underwriting starts at $400 and increases depending on additional booking costs and anticipated attendance.

There are also opportunities to be the Marquee Underwriter for an entire film series (such as Hollywood Summer Nights, Fashion in Film, etc) or a theater film festival, or to underwrite ticket costs to offer free admission to the public for a film/event. Costs on Marquee and Ticket Underwriting are determined on a case-by-case basis.
